Library Board of Trustees


The Library Board of Trustees was established per the Revised Code of Washington RCW 27.12.190



The Library Board of Trustees consists of five members who are nominated by the Mayor and appointed by a majority vote of the City Council. The membership term is five years.


Duties and Responsibilities

The Board oversees the management and operation of the Tacoma Public Library system, which includes all branch libraries and the Main Library located in downtown Tacoma.  


Staff Support

Staffing support to the Library Board of Trustees is provided by the Tacoma Public Library.

Third Wednesday of the Month
