State of the City Address

Mayor Woodards Hosted the 2019 State of the City Address on March 6

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and made it a success! Mayor Victoria Woodards hosted Tacoma's 2019 State of the City Address on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. During the free community event, Mayor Woodards spoke on the theme “Our Destiny in Motion”. Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce Board Chair-Elect Clemencia Castro-Woolery served as the master of ceremonies. The event opened with dancers from the Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center (TUPAC). Ceremonial drumming by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and a performance by the Tacoma Refugee Choir also took place during the event.
