Contracting Opportunities

The City of Tacoma invites qualified vendors to submit bids and proposals for posted projects.

The City of Tacoma publishes and distributes solicitation documents (RFBs, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc.) in electronic form, either on the City website or in SAP Ariba.  To submit a bid or proposal, follow the instructions outlined in the specific solicitation document.  In some solicitations, large technical drawings or blueprints may be available in hard copy format, distributed through a designated plan distribution service.  If applicable, such information will be provided in the specific solicitation document.  Please note that specifications are not provided by postal or delivery service, or by email.

Online Procurement Platform Transition

For more information, about the transition to SAP Ariba refer to the Online Procurement Platform web page.

Document Revisions

Please note that revisions to a solicitation document may be issued by the City after the solicitation was initially published.  Your bid or proposal response could be rejected if you fail to acknowledge any issued amendments or if you fail to submit your bid or proposal based on any published revisions to the original specifications or submittal instructions.  You are advised to return to this website on a regular basis to monitor for notices of revisions that affect previously published bid solicitation documents.

Bid Openings

City of Tacoma public bid openings for sealed solicitations are held in conference room M-1 on the main floor of the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North.  Access to the main floor for off-site employees and vendors is through the building's north (front) and west entrances.  Parking may be found on S. 35th Street in Lots B, C, and G. Vendors interested in doing business with the City are encouraged to monitor this website.  You may sign up for email updates by subscribing to the website.  This option is available by selecting the red envelope on the top of the solicitation web pages.
