Notice of Funding Availability
The 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) is available starting October 19, 2022 for funding to be applied toward projects and programs that administer assistance for the following eligible uses:
- Housing Assistance: Residential Rehabilitation and Preservation of Single-Family Homeowner Occupied Households
- Economic Development: Microenterprise Assistance

Important NOFA Deadlines
Wednesday November 16, 2022, 5 PM: Deadline for applicants to submit questions to be added to the Q & A document.
Submit all questions to cedhousingdivision@cityoftacoma.org with the subject line “2023-2024 NOFA Applicant Questions.
Thursday November 17, 2022, 3 PM: Deadline for applicants to request an Application Submission Folder
To make a request, send an email to cedhousingdivision@cityoftacoma.org with the subject line “2023 CED CDBG NOFA Online Application Submission Folder Request”.
Include the following information in the body of the email:
Project Name
Applicant Agency Name
Name and email address of each person who may need access to the folder
A link to an Application Submission Folder will be sent by Community and Economic Development Department staff to the email address provided by the requestor.
Wednesday November 23, 2022, 5 PM: Final version of Q & A document will be posted. Document linked below.
Wednesday November 30, 2022, 3 PM: Deadline to Submit Applications
