'T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn' City Services Expo

POSTPONED: The T-Town City Services Expo Scheduled for March 28, 2020 has been Postponed

In a news release sent out on March 9, 2020, Mayor Victoria Woodards stated that at this time, out of an abundance of caution and in recognition of community concerns in regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to postpone the T-Town City Services Expo. Staff is looking into the possibility of rescheduling this event in the future, to help ensure improved community engagement and attendance.

If you’ve been wanting an opportunity to see a City of Tacoma vehicle up close, talk to City representatives about the work that they do, learn more about City operations through hands-on activities, and find out about the many services the City offers, come to this event!

 

Event Details 

Date: To Be Determined (originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020)

Time: 10 AM-3 PM

Location: Tacoma Dome (2727 E. D Street)

Free parking will be provided

 

New this year, there will be a quiet hour from 10-11 AM that will include low sensory stimulation.

 

 

T-Town Expo is a Free, Interactive Event for all of the Community 

The T-Town City Services Expo is a FREE, fun, interactive community event hosted by the City of Tacoma. Participants of all ages will have opportunities to play, explore, and learn. Come play in various City of Tacoma vehicles, explore displays and demonstrations, and learn about services we provide to our community.

Learn About City Services and Programs 

The event is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the community's knowledge about the services delivered by the various departments at the City of Tacoma, educate the community about how City government works, and offer opportunities for community members to share ideas and feedback about how the City should utilize its resources. 

 

 

 

Getting to the T-Town Expo

Attendees can park their personal vehicles in the Tacoma Dome parking lot for free. For attendees using public transportation, multiple bus routes (including 42, 400, 501, 574, and 612) go near the Dome, as does the Tacoma Light Rail and the Sounder Lakewood-Seattle train. Go to www.piercetransit.org to plan your trip.
