The City of Tacoma invites qualified vendors to submit bids and proposals for posted projects. Solicitations are posted on the City's Purchasing website and are open to all interested parties. Formal, sealed solicitations are advertised in the Tacoma Daily Index, the City of Tacoma's official legal publication.
The City is transitioning to Ariba Network, an eCommerce platform, for Supplier Information Management, Bidding, Contract Management and Electronic POs/Invoices.
As of February 1, 2017, the City of Tacoma will be managing all procurement rosters through Ariba, the new eProcurement online platform. As such, in order to continue participating in your existing roster(s) with the City, your organization will need to register on Ariba by this date. Regarding the Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) Roster, this roster is undergoing a review and update. Contract awards resulting from this roster are on hold until updates are complete.

Notice to All Bidders and Respondents
City of Tacoma public bid openings are held in conference room M-1 on the main floor of the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North. Access to the main floor for off-site employees and vendors is through the building's north (front) and west entrances. Parking may be found on S. 35th Street in Lots B, C, and G, along with a limited number of short-term parking spaces in Lot D, which is adjacent to the warehouse building.
The City does not maintain an on-going vendor list. Vendors interested in doing business with the City are encouraged to monitor this website.
