Green Tacoma Day

Celebrate Green Tacoma Day on October 14, 2017

Green Tacoma Day is an annual celebration of the Green Tacoma Partnership’s work to restore 1,881 acres of urban green space. This day of service offers great opportunities for the Tacoma community to get to know each other and our local green spaces. There are a number of activities available to choose from that each highlight a different way to support the City’s urban forests and green spaces.

Volunteer to Help Keep Tacoma Green

There will be 14 sites throughout the city at which to volunteer on Green Tacoma Day. The Green Tacoma Partnership invites people of all ages to get outside, have fun and engage in Tacoma’s green spaces. On Saturday, October 14, 2017, volunteers will plant trees, remove invasive weeds, connect with the community, and provide a helping hand to our natural areas!

No experience is necessary, so bring along your whole family, friends, or just yourself for a fun morning of service. For a complete list of sites and to sign-up to volunteer, visit the Green Tacoma Day web page
