Event Road Closures

Anticipated Event-Related Road Closures Expected Around Tacoma through Sunday, July 29:

  • On On Saturday, July 21, the International Firefighters’ Celebration will close South Lawrence Street from South 40th to South 43rd streets from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • On Saturday, July 21, a private residential block party will close North 23rd Street from Vista View Drive to North Harmon Street and North Harmon Street from North 23rd Street to the dead end cul-de-sac from 2 – 10 p.m. 
  • On Friday, July 27, at 5 a.m. until Sunday, July 29, at midnight the Reggae on the Way event will close South 54th Street from South Tacoma Way to South Puget Sound Avenue. The event will also close South Tacoma Way from South 52nd to South 56th streets from Saturday, July 28, at 5 a.m. to Sunday, July 29 at midnight.
  • On Saturday, July 28, at 5 a.m. to Sunday, July 29, at 1 a.m. a private residential block party will close East 36th Street from the east alley to East L Street.
  • On Saturday, July 28, the Power Paddle to Puyallup 2018 Canoe Journey event will close Slayden Road to Norpoint Way Northeast with limited access to McMurray Road Northeast and East 11th Street from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Reoccurring Closures

  • The Broadway Farmers Market closes Broadway from South 9th to South 11th streets every Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

  • The Proctor Farmers Market closes North 27th Street from North Proctor to North Madison streets every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
