🌞 Summer break for #Tacoma students is just around the corner! There are two free summer programs we want you to know about.
🔷 Summer Late Nights: Middle and high school students can get dinner and participate in fun activities with their friends at 10 locations across Tacoma. Students ...can attend as often or as little as they like, and ride to and from most locations for free on @piercetransit. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. The City of Tacoma helps fund this drop-in program. More at the link in our bio.
🔷 Free Summer Meals: The Summer Meal Program provides free lunch to all youth age 18 and younger, Monday-Friday, from 12:30 – 1:30 PM, at 12 locations across Tacoma. There will also be staff led activities and meals must be eaten on site. More at the link in our bio.

The City of Tacoma’s Neighborhood Planning Program
Youth, small business owners, and residents helped shape the South Tacoma Neighborhood Plan that was adopted at the June 10, 2025, #TacCouncil Meeting. The plan reflects the diverse priorities of community members and sets a roadmap for the future. Some of the things that will come to life through ...this plan include:
🌳$15,000 in one-time funds to expand tree planting efforts, implemented through our Urban Forestry Program
🚧Crucial corridor safety improvements on South Tacoma Way, facilitated by our Public Works Department
💙A partnership with Parks Tacoma for community events
The South Tacoma Neighborhood Plan marks the sunset of the program due to budget reductions, but the three adopted plans (Proctor, McKinley and South Tacoma) will continue to guide our work in these communities. More in this video.⬆️
