🔷The Rainier to Ruston relay invites runners to participate in a 50-mile journey from the base of Mount Rainier to the shores of Puget Sound. At the 2025 ...event, a City of Tacoma team of runners earned a first-place finish in the Mayor’s Cup, a division featuring teams representing City governments in our region. Team name? Back from the 80s! Congrats and rock on! 👨🎤
🔷The Special Olympics of Washington celebrated their 50th year right here in Tacoma with 2025 State Spring Games and Opening Ceremony at Cheney Stadium in June. Their efforts provide supportive and safe environments for athletes to thrive.

🚧 Due to a technical malfunction, the Hylebos Bridge (at E. 11th St. in the #Tacoma Tideflats) is closed to vehicular traffic. The bridge remains open to shipping traffic. Crews are on site working to address the issue, and we'll post further updates as they become available.
