City Releases Notice of Funding Availability for Community Development Block Grant Funds

--Online Workshop for Potential Applicants January 25, Applications Due February 8--

The City of Tacoma’s Community and Economic Development Department has released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. 

CDBG funding is available under the following categories of service activities: 

1) Housing Assistance: Residential Repair, Rehabilitation and Preservation Assistance to Single-Family Homeowner Occupied Households
2) Economic Development: Assistance to Microenterprises
3) Public Improvements / Public Facilities

An application for funding, a supplemental application and a funding information packet, are available on the City’s website. Applicants for funding in the Public Improvements / Public Facilities category must submit a supplemental form in addition to an application. 

City staff will host a NOFA workshop for potential applicants on January 25, 2021 at 10 AM. You can access the workshop at that time using the following link:

Applications are due no later than 5 PM on February 8, 2021 and can be submitted by e-mail to cedhousingdivision@cityoftacoma.org.  More detailed application instructions are included on page 16 of the Funding Information Packet.
