Tacoma Mayor to Deliver 2015 State of the City Address

In collaboration with the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Marilyn Strickland will deliver the 2015 State of the City Address on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center’s third floor ballroom.

Speaking on the theme, “Tacoma Rising”, Strickland will review major accomplishments of 2014 and share plans for the new year on several topics including Tacoma 2025, economic development, education, international relations, broadband Internet access, transportation, and President Barack Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” Challenge.

Event attendees and members of the public are encouraged to engage with the Mayor during her address using the #SOTC253 Twitter hashtag.

"Tacoma is on the rise and we made great strides in 2014,” says Strickland. “Now, it is more vital than ever that we all work together in true partnership to build on that momentum, and build an economy that will help all of our residents and businesses thrive.”

Tickets are $25 for students. Tickets for general admission are $40 in advance. For more information, please contact Janice Hutchins at the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce at (253) 627-2175 or visit the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce’s website
