City of Tacoma Announces Upcoming T-Town Hall Virtual Community Events on May 7, May 14 and May 21

 

The City of Tacoma has introduced T-Town Hall, a new virtual community event series featuring Mayor Victoria Woodards and members of the Tacoma City Council engaging in conversations on issues of importance to the community. 

Launched during this unprecedented public health and economic crisis, the first event on April 30 focused on the City’s rental assistance program

“I am excited to continue this interactive series that addresses issues that are important to our community during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mayor Woodards. “The Council and I are looking forward to hearing directly from residents, answering questions, and providing information and resources relevant to these unprecedented times.”

The next events all take place from 6 - 7:30 PM and are on the topic of immigrationMay 7, hosted by Council Member Catherine Ushka and Council Member Chris Beale; the topic of economic developmentMay 14, hosted by Council Member Robert Thoms and Council Member Conor McCarthy; and the topics of education and childrenMay 21, hosted by Council Member John Hines and Council Member Lillian Hunter.
