The Tacoma Landmarks Preservation Commission has received a petition from residents of the proposed College Park Historic District to create a Historic Special Review District.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission is scheduled to review this request in 2021. A review schedule was created in order to consider distinct aspects of the district request individually, and to allow adequate time for public comment.
In addition to formal Public Hearings at the Landmarks Preservation Commission, Planning Commission and City Council, property owners and Tacoma residents have the opportunity to comment and ask questions at two public information sessions scheduled for after the Commission meetings on August 11, 2021 and September 8, 2021. Commission meetings start at 5:30pm.
Currently, Landmarks Preservation Commission meetings are
being conducted virtually. The meeting can be attended at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84794178334,
or by dialing +1 (253) 215-8782 and entering the meeting ID 847 9417 8334 when prompted.
If you are unable to attend the above sessions, have general comments for the Landmarks Preservation Commission, or need more information, please contact the Historic Preservation Office:
