The Board of Contracts and Awards (C&A Board) may meet weekly, but only when there is regular business to conduct.  The C&A Board does not meet when Department recommended contract awards are not being appealed.  These are consent items and are forwarded to the Tacoma Public Utility Board or City Council with an approval recommendation for contract award.  The C&A Board does meet for regular agenda items such as waiver of competitive bidding requests or when a low bidder with legal standing files a protest to be heard.
