Review of 2014 Active Transportation Successes on Jan. 29

 

Join the City of Tacoma’s Office of Environmental Policy and Sustainability for an overview of 2014 accomplishments for improved pedestrian and bicycling infrastructure and review plans for more enhancements in the upcoming year.  This meeting will take place at the University of Puget Sound in Commencement Hall’s Tahoma Room (1500 N. Warner St. in Tacoma) on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 6 -7:30 p.m.

 

Accomplishments for 2014 include the City‘s designation of $2.5 million in one-time funds for pedestrian improvements citywide and the implementation of 13 miles of new bikeways and pedestrian improvements across the city, as well as other significant projects.Join the City’s Active Transportation Coordinator Diane Wiatr for a report to the community and to discuss what changes residents can look forward to in 2015.

 

A formal presentation will be given beginning at 6 p.m. with plenty of time for questions and discussion following. All are welcome to attend and the meeting is free to the public.
