City of Tacoma Observes Veterans Day on November 11

Administrative offices in the Tacoma Municipal Building complex (747 Market St. and 733 Market St.) and in other City of Tacoma facilities will close Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

The Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) will open as normally scheduled on Monday, November 11, from 8 AM - 6 PM, and garbage, recycling and yard/food waste pick-ups will not be affected. 

Police and fire personnel will also be on duty on Monday, November 11. Animal control personnel will be on duty from 8 AM - 8 PM.

Following is a list of other closures and service adjustments relating to the upcoming holiday:

 

  • The Tacoma Public Library will close on Saturday, November 9.
  • The Tacoma Municipal Court (930 Tacoma Ave. S) will close on Monday, November 11.     
  • There will be no parking enforcement by City staff on Monday, November 11.
