Providing fire safety education, injury prevention messages, and positive community role models are the goals of the Elementary School Age Program. The safety and well-being of school age children is important to the Tacoma Fire Department, especially when it comes to their knowledge of fire and life safety skills. For that reason, we have developed several resources to help you teach your school age group about fire safety. Both public schools and private schools are invited to use this program. If you have questions regarding our school programs please call (253) 591-5740 or contact the Prevention Office.
The Tacoma Fire Department provides fire prevention and emergency preparedness assistance to the City's business community. This includes a variety of occupancies, from high-rise buildings to hospitals and long-term care facilities.
