District 3 Council Member Keith Blocker will host a community forum in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood
on Thursday, March 16, from 6 – 8 PM, at the freshly updated People’s Community Center (1602 Martin Luther King Jr. Way). The event will provide community members with an opportunity to discuss any issues of importance to them and ask questions of City of Tacoma staff.
“This is a great chance for community members to come out and personally connect with some of their neighbors as well as their public servants,” said Blocker. “It is very important to me that the diverse perspectives of our community members are heard, and we hope to see a good turnout as we continue our efforts to try and engage more of our community members we don’t hear from as often.”
City staff members from the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, Community and Economic Development Department, Planning and Development Services Department, the Tacoma Police Department and the Tacoma Fire Department will be in attendance.
