Neighborhood and Community Services Executive Profile

Linda Stewart's diverse career spans more than 20 years and reflects a life-long commitment to community and public service.  She has served in large and small public organizations, supporting and unifying teams, leading strategies for community engagement and managing highly impactful community-based programs.

 

Her portfolios have included management of neighborhood services and community grants, workforce development and education programs serving gang-involved youth, community-based public health programs, and comprehensive strategies to engage communities in the business of government.  Stewart has also developed and delivered soft skills training for participants in worker retraining and alternatives to incarceration programs.  She has led inter-disciplinary teams engaged in multi-jurisdictional land use development efforts, coordinated intergovernmental relations, administered complex interlocal agreements, and facilitated processes to develop effective public policy.  

 

Stewart is a U.S. Navy veteran, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Evergreen State College, and has served on various coalitions and boards committed to developing vital, healthy communities.  She also spent time in public office on the Highline Public Schools board of directors.
