About This Program
We know that trees are beautiful and we know that they reduce stormwater runoff, among many other benefits. For residents of Tacoma, this program is funded by stormwater utility rates to support multiple City of Tacoma goals and policies, including growing Tacoma’s Canopy Cover and reducing stormwater runoff and pollution.
Beginning in 2016, the program has expanded to Pierce County residents with assistance from Russell Family Forest Community of Interest funds and partnerships with Pierce County, Pierce Conservation District and Metro Parks Tacoma.
The program will start its fifth season in 2016-17 since beginning in late 2011 and is a replacement for Tacoma’s previous free tree program. We've partnered with local tree retailers to provide this discount for Pierce County residents.
The coupon valid dates coincide with our area's ideal planting weather, and conveniently when lots of tree retailers put their tree stock on sale in the fall.
Coupons may also be obtained at select local events.
