  • Urban Hike: Uncovering Lincoln

    Saturday, 4/23 - 10:00am-noon

Join us for round two of the popular “urban hike” series, which began last year with 130 walkers in Eastside’s McKinley Park. “Uncovering Lincoln” is a 1.4mi walk to explore Tacoma’s Lincoln neighborhood.

The heart of Tacoma’s international district, this South End neighborhood is graced not only with a multicultural business community, but also one of Tacoma’s largest parks and a historic high school – both also named for the nation’s 16th President. From the neighborhood’s northern edge, there are great views of Downtown Tacoma and the Port of Tacoma.

Walk guides will showcase points of interest and share facts about this neighborhood’s history.  Walk leaders and support staff include: Councilmember Marty Campbell, Tacoma Historical Society, Downtown on the Go, Metro Parks Tacoma, and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

This is a family-friendly event. Light refreshments will be provided.

RSVP on our Facebook event page!  See our event flyer here!
