TNT Bags

To stop delivery at any home, the homeowner or tenant will need to contact The News Tribune at customerservice@thenewstribune.com or (800) 289-8711.

Be prepared to provide your name, address and phone number so they can verify your residence and remove it from the distribution route. Requests are only accepted through this method.

What is the City doing about the bags?

The City has communicated about concerns we have received from residents to The News Tribune. Residents also may contact The News Tribune directly with concerns about the bags.

To help residents find the information they need to opt-out of this TNT service, we want to provide the information from The News Tribune.


The City has reviewed the contents of The News Tribune bags and will not take enforcement action at this time.

Does the City offer resources to help neighborhoods cleanup the bags?

The appearance of the City’s neighborhoods is important to us. We offer a number of programs to help neighborhoods create a safe, clean and attractive community, including a Right of Way Clean Up. How do I request to stop receiving The News Tribune (TNT) bags?

Can I request my neighbor's home be removed from the distribution list?

According to The News Tribune, you cannot make a request for any address other than your own be removed. If the property is unoccupied you may request the TNT stop service to that location.

What if there is an unoccupied property in my neighborhood?

According to The News Tribune, they are cross checking addresses with the national database to assess if a home is occupied.

If the property is unoccupied and still receiving the bags, you may request The News Tribune stop service to that location. You will need to contact the TNT at customerservice@thenewstribune.com or (800) 289-8711.

How long will it take for my address to be removed?

According to The News Tribune, once you have submitted the request it may take up to two (2) weeks for you to stop receiving the promotional bags.

Does The News Tribune pick up bags left out?

According to The News Tribune, once you have submitted the request it may take up to two (2) weeks for you to stop receiving the promotional bags.

Will distribution of the orange bags continue?

According to The News Tribune, it is not currently a standard practice. However carriers may retrieve unwanted bags if a resident has requested they be picked up.
