Road Closures for Repairs on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4

The City of Tacoma’s Street Operations Division will perform street repairs on I-705 southbound from the Schuster Parkway and Stadium Way on-ramps located underneath Fireman’s Park. The on-ramp from southbound Schuster Parkway onto I-705 and the on-ramp from southbound Stadium Way onto I-705 will be closed Friday, Oct. 28 and again on Friday, Nov. 4. Closures on both dates will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.   

The repairs will involve grinding and replacing the asphalt, resulting in a smoother ride and preserved street surface. All repairs are weather dependent and rescheduling may be required.  Detour routes will be in place and notice boards are currently on location to notify drivers of the project and will reflect any necessary changes.
