Board of Contracts and Awards
The Board of Contracts and Awards (C&A Board) may meet weekly, but only when there is regular business to conduct. The C&A Board does not meet when department recommended contract awards are not being appealed. These are "consent" items and are forwarded to the Tacoma Public Utility Board or City Council with an approval recommendation for contract award. The C&A Board does meet for "regular" agenda items such as waiver of competitive bidding requests or when a low bidder with legal standing files a protest to be heard.
The C&A Board meets in the Main Floor Conference Room (M-1) of the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409.
