Green Ribbon Climate Action Task Force
Recommendations
The Green Ribbon Climate Action Task Force was charged with defining CO2 reduction and mitigation goals and developing specific community and government action plans to achieve goals.
A summary of the draft recommendations for Tacoma's Climate Action Plan is available here. These were the strategies presented at public meetings in April 2008.

These recommendations were among more than 80 strategies identified by the task force. In developing its recommendations, the task force indicated its support for a number of strategies that are already in progress or soon to be implemented. They also noted strategies that were unquantifiable, so those were not included in the list for review.
More information on the recommendations is found in the subcommittee worksheets below. Recommendations with a "B" are from the Built/Unbuilt Subcommittee; those with an "E" are from the Energy Supply Subcommittee; and those with a "T" are from the Transportation Subcommittee. The recommendations are not numbered on the worksheets, but are generally in sequence. For example, E-1 is on the first page of the Energy worksheets.
Development of the Draft Plan
Three subcommittees (see meetings page) developed recommendations and presented them to the full task force. Here are some of the materials they presented, including worksheets that provide additional information on the strategies in the draft recommendations.
