Status The Planning Commission's recommendations on the Proposed Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Regulatory Code for 2008 were adopted by the City Council on December 9, 2008, with four ordinances as listed below.
The City Council enacted two amendments: (1) remanding to the Planning Commission the proposal to change the land use intensity designation from Single Family to Low Intensity for property located at Browns Pt. Blvd. NE and 53rd St. NE (Application #2008-05), and (2) removing two parcels and the abutting portion of the undeveloped Narrows Drive right-of-way from designation as open space within the Open Space Habitat and Recreation Element.

Process and Timeline
- Assessment (January-April): Initial assessment of applications for completeness
- Analysis (March-July): Technical analysis of proposed amendments, and modifications as appropriate
- Public Review (August-September): Planning Commission approval of proposed amendments for public distribution and review purposes
- Public Hearing (September): Planning Commission public hearing
- Recommendation (October): Planning Commission recommendations (to the City Council)
- Adoption (November-December): City Council review, public hearing and adoption of proposed amendments
