The City of Tacoma Environmental Services Sewer Conservation Loan Program offers low-interest loans to assist qualified residential property owners and businesses with the cost of certain projects that reduce pollutants or help conserve capacity in the City’s storm drains and sewer system.
Conservation loans may cover as much as 90 percent of eligible projects, including: residential septic tank abandonment and connection to the municipal sewer, side-sewer replacement or repair, industrial wastewater pretreatment equipment (such as grease interceptors) or certain stormwater detention or pretreatment equipment. New construction is not eligible.
