SECTOR COMMANDER - LIEUTENANT BART HAYES

Sector Four is staffed with highly dedicated and professional police officers who, without fail, serve our community with pride and integrity. The Tacoma Police Department is filled with many innovative and forward thinking officers who have a wide variety of knowledge and experience to offer our citizens.  In addition, each department sector is staffed with Community Liaison Officers, who have an uncanny ability to solve long-term issues using numerous City resources.

In order to facilitate such an important mission, we feel it is important to identify those objectives to lead the way:

• Strive to improve communication between sector personnel, community groups and neighborhood councils.
• Identify and target those crime trends that detract from community peace, safety and citizen's well-being.
• The scope of police activity will always focus on the actions of those individuals perpetrating criminal activity, not their racial, ethnic or religious affiliations.
• Ensure that our officers adhere to Department policy, and Federal, State and City laws.
