Welcome to Tacoma Police Online, the interactive website brought to you by the men and women of the Tacoma Police Department. As you explore our site, it is our hope that you become increasingly aware of the services and information available to you from the Tacoma Police Department. The Tacoma Police Department employs 339 commissioned officers and 36 civilian employees.

Neighborhood Issues/Concerns Reporting: This site allows our citizens to directly provide us with information relating to issues and concerns affecting the quality of life in our neighborhoods. This site is NOT FOR REPORTING CRIMES.

News and Information: Learn about our Department's history, view crime statistics throughout the City, check the status of a case number, download our Annual Report, learn about Homeland Security, view the Department's Strategic Plan, read the Panhandling and Noise Ordinances, see what is on "Behind The Shield" this month and much more. We have a new brochure that offers tips and advice for motorists if they are stopped by the police.

Online Crime and Lost Property Reporting. This is a site for filing a limited number of incident report types online. This site is not to be used to report emergencies, in-progress crimes, or previously reported crimes. This online system can be used to report lost property (excluding guns, passports, military ID, etc.), vandalism (not vehicle accidents or hit and runs), and stolen property/theft (excluding vehicles, guns, license plates, or fraud). Currently the Online Reporting System only supports Microsoft Internet Explorer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Neighborhood Crime Data: With this link, you will be able to search for crime data and statistics in your neighborhood or anywhere in the City.

Report Drug Activity: Clicking on this link will allow you to submit drug activity information online. You can remain anonymous. Please provide as many details as you can on the form about the location of the activity.

Cold Cases: The TPD Cold Case Unit works in partnership with other Pierce County law enforcement agencies to develop a regional approach to cold case homicide investigations. A collaborative approach to cold case investigations will ensure success locally, and have a considerable effect on the status of many cold cases throughout the county. 

Missing Persons: This page lists missing persons. They are all listed on the State and National Missing Persons registries. If you know the location of, or how to contact these individuals, please call the TPD non-emergency line at 253-798-4721.

Community News Alerts: This page will provide news articles, press releases, and information of interest that are generated and distributed from the Public Relations Unit of the Tacoma Police Department. Learn more about the Pierce County ALERT system; a new mass emergency notification system.

Community Resources: These pages of our site will provide you with information on the many programs, resources and services that are sponsored by, or available from TPD. These include: Community Liaison Officers, Tacoma Police Explorers, TPD Chaplains, Citizen's Academy, Crime Free Rental Housing, Domestic Violence information, Volunteer Program, and much more.
