Beginning today, residents have a new way to find out about street and utility construction projects in their neighborhoods and around their work places through a new City Projects website at www.cityoftacoma.org/cityprojects.
The website allows users to type an address and find details about nearby street and utility projects using a search and map interface. Users can search for projects by address, business district, City Council district or neighborhood district.
“Residents often wonder about construction that they see in their neighborhoods or while driving around Tacoma,” said City Council Member Ryan Mello, chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee. “This new tool offers an easy way for people to find out details about a project, how long it will be under construction and what other projects are scheduled to happen in the near future.”
The City Projects website also offers contact information for each individual project.
