During study session at noon on April 17, members of City Council are scheduled to receive a briefing on the Planning Commission’s recommendations for amendments to the Land Use Regulatory Code regarding critical areas preservation and land use permit procedures. As a second item on the agenda, City staff will provide a follow up to the Nov. 1, 2011, discussion on capital projects prioritization criteria. The discussion will include staff recommendations for prioritization of available bond reallocations. Additionally, as a third item on the agenda, City staff will provide a follow-up to previous Council conversations regarding future infrastructure funding strategies, including the proposed process and timeline.
The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16. On Tuesday, April 17, the City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Land Use Regulatory Code regarding the interest and desire of citizens to voluntarily participate in the preservation and restoration of public and private natural areas throughout the City, as recommended by the Planning Commission. The public hearing will start at approximately 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers on first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St.
