Gang Assessment Project Report focus of study session
Members of City Council are scheduled Feb. 28 to receive a report from Human Rights and Human Services Contract Specialist and Tacoma Gang Project Coordinator Melissa Cordeiro on the findings of the 2011 Tacoma Gang Assessment. The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16. Audio from the session will be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and on www.tvtacoma.com. On-demand audio archives are available on the web within 24 hours of the meeting at www.tvtacoma.com.

Learn about urban governance and citizen participation
Urban governance and citizen participation are the focus of the next Government Leadership Institute session on Feb. 27. The session is hosted by the City of Tacoma’s Neighborhood Council Office, in cooperation with the University of Washington Tacoma’s Urban Studies Program and will be held on Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the UWT campus, Keystone Building Auditorium, 1900 Commerce St. No registration is required.
