TV Tacoma recently received the award for “Overall Excellence” in Public, Educational, or Government (PEG) Access Programming from the Alliance for Community Media – the northwest’s annual video competition.
The “Overall Excellence” award recognizes TV Tacoma for its service to the community through the variety and quality of its programming efforts during 2009.
The Best in the Northwest competition honors outstanding non-commercial community programming from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. Awards will be presented at the Northwest Community Media Gathering in Olympia, Wash. on Saturday, May 15.
The Alliance for Community Media is a nonprofit, national membership organization that represents over 3,000 PEG Access organizations and community media centers throughout the country.
