Mission

TV Tacoma is the city’s award winning, 24-Hour Information Channel. Our goal is to inform, educate and motivate the wonderful people of this community by telling the stories and covering the events that make Tacoma the vibrant community it is. To meet this goal our programming consists of original series, special features, acquired presentations and regular meeting coverage.

On January 24, 1984, TV Tacoma premiered with its live broadcast of the Tacoma City Council meeting. In those early days, meeting coverage and simple video text information was the only programming available. But since then, TV Tacoma has grown into a full fledged television station with the production of over 22 hours of original programming and meeting coverage each month. Advancements in technology and internet access means that today our programming is now available to more people in the community than ever before. As TV Tacoma moves forward we continue to look at ways to meet the needs of our community and enhance the services we provide.

Where to watch us

TV Tacoma is carried on both the Click! and Comcast Cable systems.  On Click! TV Tacoma can be seen on Channel 12 in the Tacoma City limits and in Pierce County, with the exception of University Place, where we are found on Channel 21.  On Comcast, TV Tacoma can be seen on Channel 12 in the Tacoma City limits and on Channel 21 in Pierce County.  We are NOT carried on the Comcast system in University Place.
