The City of Tacoma's Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB) offers contracting opportunities and business management assistance to qualified small business contractors.

For certified contractors, HUB helps to level the playing field when it comes to having an opportunity to secure public works contracts.  For prime contractors, HUB offers preapproved certified contractors in 45 construction categories who can help you meet the HUB goal for your project.

For both the HUB certified subcontractor and the prime contractor, HUB offers a Mentor/Protege program where businesses can improve their management and administrative skills by partnering with more experienced contractors who share their knowledge and expertise.
