Across The Fence
September 2010
On this month’s show we meet with leaders from Tacoma’s business districts. First we’ll talk with city staff and the Cross District Association, to learn where they’ve come from, and where they’re going. Then we’ll visit with leaders from three key districts, exploring some of these businesses in our own backyard.
August 2010
We’ll explore how schools and neighborhoods work together from the perspective of a variety of involved parties: parents, an advocate, school board member and students.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord has a big influence on the Tacoma area, but we don’t often get a chance to peak over that fence. So we’ll take a look at how Tacoma residents can learn more about the base through the Air Expo and other events. Then we’ll talk with prior and current members of the military to see how they’ve made a home here, exploring their involvement in the community.
