Downtown parking background information
The development of our city's core has accelerated over the past several years. That growth in employment, education, entertainment and commercial activities necessitates a thorough review of our parking capacity and demands. Preserving the character and vitality of our neighborhoods is paramount.
The intent in meeting with citizens throughout downtown - from the Thea Foss Waterway to the Hilltop and the Dome District to the Stadium District - is to listen. This series of parking discussions will not include detailed question-and-answer sessions or scripted staff presentations, but rather a very open forum for us to hear your concerns and ideas and record your input.
Letters are being sent to businesses and residents in the areas around each of the six neighborhoods downtown, but you are encouraged to participate in whichever discussion is most convenient for you.
